- Fears / Phobias -

Dogs are like us: some are not afraid of much, while others are afraid of everything.

But some dogs are so afraid they are only subjected to situations that followed during the day: these dogs suffer from what is commonly called the "syndrome of the kennel."

When a puppy lives during the first 3 months of his life in the same room, with only her mother stimulation and siblings, as well as a few taken in hand by the farmer (little or no games, no exit from local ), it has not learned to cope with new situations. Thus, the puppy arriving in a new place (new owner), he will fear everything.
This may also occur when the mother of the puppy itself was very fearful.
In this case, it will take considerable time and patience to the masters to learn little by little (this may take months!) Everything in the future life of the puppy.

In most households still, the dog was afraid of certain objects (vacuum cleaner, noise specific) people (foreign child) and situations (noise of fireworks). This may have several causes:

- Puppies, 3 months before, was only slightly stimulated: he learned to adapt to certain situations, but has not been accustomed to other (high puppy campaign and who is afraid in the city because it did not go before the age of 3 months)

- The puppy, when confronted with an object (doors, rake, child's toy), was wrong: in this case, it will take some time to regain confidence in this subject

- The puppy has been forced to do something he's afraid (eg swimming)

Faced with a frightening situation, the frightened dog will change its posture, barking first to know. Then if the "danger" he persists choose between 2 options: The leak or attack.

In both cases, we may witness a tragedy: a runaway, a road accident, an attack followed by injury.

It is therefore essential to reduce the fears of your dog, and teach you, to you, to manage and respond accordingly.
